This course will review material related to how to improve your supervision skills, areas of conflict and problems with your supervisees, and how to build your own network. Tips on ways to handle different situations are discussed. Areas of focus for the course will include the impact supervisors have with the different kinds of supervisees. This course is developed for anyone who is thinking of being a supervisor or has been one for many years. Skills and the latest research on effective supervision techniques and tips are discussed. This is a recorded video discussion in an interview format between an experienced supervisor and a clinician with only some experience as a supervisor. Workshop attendees can expect to: Objective 1) Learner will be able to understand the basic core components of being a good supervisor Objective 2) Learner will be able to understand at least 1 intervention which a supervisor uses to help supervisees Objective 3) Learner will be able to discuss a model for providing good supervision Objective 4) Learner will be able to understand how to deal with difficult situations with Supervisees
