ABOUT US
The award was founded in the Northwest United States. The award was begun after building frustrations about the difficulty of being able to differentiate between useful quality therapy tools and expensive but ineffective ones. We are made up of volunteers that help build the reputation of quality therapy tools and facilities. Each award is given after a panel of Licensed Mental Health Therapists, Licensed Psychologists, Licensed Psychiatrists, and/or Licensed Social Workers review claims about an item or facility. This ensures that there is data from evaluated peer-reviewed scientific journals to ensure each product is safe and effective if used as intended. We do not charge any fee for our review services but do ask that applicants consider giving a donation and to help cover our costs of purchasing the product for the reviewers.

TEACH A COURSE
Provide Continuing Education Credits
Do you have an area of clinical expertise, significant experience, or are an expert in your field of practice?
If so, we would like to invite you to submit an application to have your CE course hosted on our platform. Graduate level or higher working professionals are welcome to submit an application to present CE courses with us.
Never taught CE courses before? Not accredited as a CE provider? We’re happy to help meet with you and discuss how to get started. We will even help you fully develop the course from start to finish if you would like to consult with a member of our team.

HOW DO I APPLY?
It's easy! Complete The Application for Products or The Application for Facilities or Services and email it back to us!
DOES IT COST ANYTHING TO APPLY?
There is not an application fee to have your product, facility, or service reviewed. We do ask that you consider donating through clicking here
IS MY GROUP OR PRIVATE PRACTICE ELIGIBLE?
Yes! Our licensed mental health therapists will review the site based off the answers in the application received. Some of the criteria includes working hours, availability of crisis services, and duration of wait-lists maintained.
CAN THERAPY WORKBOOKS BE ELIGIBLE?
Yes! You will need to submit an application as a product and it will be reviewed by our Licensed Mental Health Therapists for review which will typically take 2-6 weeks.
CAN AND ONLINE SUPPORT GROUPS BE ELIGIBLE?
Yes! So long as there is a fully licensed master's level therapist that is overseeing the group. You can submit your group for review by completing the application as a service.
HOW LONG DOES THE PROCESS TAKE?
Typically, the process of reviewing takes 2-6 weeks. It can be expedited upon request. Feel free to contact us!
HOW CAN THERE BE NO APPLICATION FEE?
We are made up of volunteers seeking to make a change to the status quo for therapy products. We also accept donations but they will not impact the decision of the reviewers. In order to keep everyone honest, the reviewers are not informed if a donation is made or not. Reviewers are kept anonymous from the applicants and a 3rd party contact is used if questions come up. We are modeled after how a peer-reviewed journal would is set up.
WHY DOES THIS AWARD EXIST?
This award exists because there is a dire need within the counseling community for a standard of quality in its products, books, tools, and games. We exist because we want to be able to help the reputation of excellent therapy tools. We are a signpost for therapists and counselors to go to when seeking to improve their counseling skills.
IS THIS A "PAY-TO-WIN" AWARD?
No. Regardless of how much an applicant chooses to donate, if any, the reviewers will not be biased because they are not informed of the amount donated, if any. Applicants are not able to sway any opinions because reviewers are not informed of any donation made or not made. A third party from the reviewer used as the communicator between reviewer and applicants. This is modeled after how a peer-reviewed scientific journal would review a submission.
